Scientific Method

QuestionAnswer
What is the scientific method? A series of steps used to answer a question or solve a problem
What is a controlled experiment? Tests only variable and contains a control group and an experimental group
Step One: State a problem and make observations using your five senses
Step Two: Form a hypothesis and a prediction (AN IF THEN STATEMENT)
Step Three: Design the experiment and test the hypothesis.
Step Four: Perform experiment and and analyze results by collecting data and finding patterns
Step Five: Draw conclusions, state results, AND EXPLAIN WHY OR WHY NOT
Step Six: May repeat experiment and and explain results
