Hypothesis Educated guess: testable
Independent Variable Variable that "I" change in an experiment: Manipulated variable
Dependent Variable Variable that is measured (data); Responding variable
Experimental Group Group that receives the IV
Control Group Group used for comparison, does not receive IV
Observation Gathering data using the five senses
Data Information gathered from observations

Quantitative Data Data expressed as numbers by counting or measuring
