Rock Cycle

TermDefinition
Weathering The process in which water, wind, ice, and heat break down rock
Erosion the process by which wind, water, ice, or gravity transports soil and sediment from one location to another
Deposition the process in which material is laid down
Compaction The process of organic matter being crushed or compressed together
Cementation sediment may be pressed and glued together by minerals dissolved in water to form sedimentary rock.
Naturally Occurring (Nerds) Can not be man made or made in factories
Inorganic (In) Can't be alive or have been alive
Solid (Science) Particles that are packed together
Crystal Structure (Can't) Has to be a regular repeating PATTERN (Mr.G is looking for the word pattern)
Definite Chemical Composition Contains certain elements in the SAME PROPORTION
