Criminal Law Prohibits certain behavior.
civil law Regulates the rights and duties between parties.
Pleadings The documents that begin a lawsuit, consisting of the complaint, the answer and sometimes a reply.
motion to dismiss A request that the court terminate a case without permitting it to further.
subpoena An order to appear at a particular place and time.
Remedies A court will will award money or other relief to a party injured by breach of contract.
Letter of intent A letter that summarizes negotiating progress.
Rescind To cancel a contract.
Close Corporation A Company whose stock is not publicly shared.
Joint venture A partnership for a limited purpose.
Domestic Corporation A corporation is a domestic Corporation in the State in which it was formed.
