What does HIV stand for? AIDS? Human Immunodeficiency Virus Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome
What does HIV attack and what does that allow? white blood cells- unable to combat viral and bacterial infection Leads to AIDS
What is AIDS? A combination of symptoms/illnesses caused by the inability of an immune system to fight off disease/infection- occurs 8 years after infected with HIV.
What factors determine whether or not an HIV infection is to occur? HIV concentration-could happen if blood is extremely concentrated and other bodily fluids have a lower level of the infection.
