TermDefinition
air mass A body of air with horizontally uniform temperature, humidity, and pressure.
front A weather front is a boundary separating two masses of air of different densities, and is the principal cause of meteorological phenomena.
Tornado A destructive, violently rotating winds having a appearance of a funnel-shaped cloud and advancing beneath a large storm system.
Hurricane A storm with violent winds.
Blizzard A severe storm with high winds and low visibility.
meteorologist A expert in weather
station model A finding number of weather element in a small area on weather maps.
isotherm A line on a map connecting points having the same TEMPERATURE at a given time or on average over a given period.
isobar A line on a map connecting points having the same ATMOSPHERIC pressure at a given time or on average over a given period.
