What are earths four layers Crust, Mantle, Inner Core, Outer Core
Describe the Crust Made up of continental and oceanic crust is the Outer Most layer. Crust is thickest near mountains and thickest and most dense near the oceans. Oceanic crust is made of basalt and continental is made of granite.
Describe the Mantle Second most outer layer. Some parts are exposed to the surface.Has two parts the lithosphere and the asthenosphere .The lithosphere is connected to the crust.The asthenosphere is liquid.
Describe the Outer Core Liquid layer Surrounds the inner core is a layer of molten metal.
Describe Inner Core Is the center of earth. . It is solid and possibly as hot as the sun.
What is the difference between oceanic and continental crust Oceanic is denser than continental. Continental has continental land on it oceanic has ocean waters on it.
What is earths shell? the crust make up earths shell.
How thick is each of earths layers? Crust 4- 50 km Mantle 2.9 k kilometers Outer Core 2.25k kilometers Inner Core 1.2k kilometers
