TermDefinition
Nitrogen fixation The process of changing free nitrogen gas into a usable form.
Nodule Bumps on the roots of certain plants that house nitrogen-fixing bacteria.
Precipitation When heavy water droplets in clouds fall back to Earth.
Condensation A liquid changes to a liquid (clouds)
Evaporation Molecules of liquid water absorb energy and change to a gas state.
Water Cycle The continuous process in which water moves from Earth's surface to the atmosphere and back.
