| Airmass | Large body of air that has properties similar to the part of Earth's surface over which it develps |
| Hurricane | Most powerful storm, which is made out of water |
| Front | A boundry between two air masses of different density moisture, or temperature |
| Blizzard | A severe snowstorm with high winds and low visibility |
| Tornado | A violent rotating column of air in contact with the ground |
| Cold Front | An advancing mass of cold air |
| Warm Front | An advancing mass of warm air |
| Occluded Front | a composite front produced by occlusion |
| Stationary Front | a boundary between two different air masses |
| Meteorologist | A person who studies the weather |
| Station Model | Recorded on a map using a combination of symbols |
| Isotherm | A line that connects points of equal temperature |
| Isobar | A line drawn to connect points of equal atmospheric pressure |
