Define wave. Disturbance that transfers energy from place to place.
Define medium. Material through which a wave travels.
Define vibration. Repeated back and forth our up and down motion.
Define transverse wave. A wave that moves the medium at right angles to the direction of wave travel.
Define longitudinal wave. A wave that moves the medium parallel to the direction of wave travel.
Define standing wave.
