| ecosystems | all the living and nonliving things in an area and there interations |
| habitat | a place that provides all the things an organism needs to live |
| biotic | all living things |
| abiotic | all none living things |
| population | a group of organisms of one species that live in an area at the same time |
| community | the group of all populations in an area |
| niche | the role an orgasims has in its ecosysyem |
| carrying capacity | is number of orgasims that can live there |
| prey | the one that gets hunted and eaten |
| predator | the one that hunts and eats other animals |
| producers | make their own food for energy |
| consumers | can’t make their own food and get energy from other producers of consumers |
| decomposres | get energy by breaking down wastes and dead organisms |
| food chains | a series of steps showing how energy moves from biotic factor to another |
| food webs | a diagram of many different food chains |
| Parasites | live inside or outside another organism taking nutrients from that organism |
| symbiosis | a long-term relationship between two different organisms. |
| carnivors | Eat only other animals |
| omnivers | eat plants and animals |
| Scavengers | eats dead animals |
