| Population | Is a group of organisms of one species |
| Community | Is populations that interact |
| Niche | Is the role an organism had in an ecosystem |
| Carrying Capacity | Is the number of organisms that can live in a habitat |
| Predator | Hunts and eats another animal |
| Prey | Is the animal that is hunted |
| Consumer | Are organisms that cannot make their own food |
| Producers | Makes their own food for energy |
| Decomposers | Are organisms that get their own food by breaking down dead organisms |
| Herbivore | Animals that only eat plants |
| Carnivore | Animals that only eat meat |
| Omnivore | Animals that eat both meat and plants |
| Food Chain | Is a series of steps showing how energy moves from biotic factor to another |
| Food Web | Is a diagram of many different food chains |
| Symbiosis | Is a long-term relationship between two organisms |
| Parasites | Live inside or outside another organisms taking nutrients from that organisms |
| Scavenger | Eats dead animals |
