| Ecosystem | All the living and nonliving things in an area an their interactions. |
| Habitat | A place that provides all the things an organism. |
| Population | A group of organisms of one species that live in an area at the same time. |
| Biotic | All the living organisms in a ecosystem. |
| Abiotic | All the nonliving organisms in an ecosystem. |
| Community | Different populations in an area. |
| niche | The role that an organism has in an ecosystem. |
| Carrying Capacity | The number of organisms that can live in a habitat. |
| Predator | An animal that hunts and eats another animal. |
| Prey | Any animals that is hunted by others for food. |
| Producers | These make their own food for energy. |
| Consumers | Organisms that can't make their own food. |
| Decomposers | Organisms that get their energy by breaking down wastes and dead organisms. |
| Herbivores | Organisms that eat plants. Example: moose |
| Carnivores | Organisms that eat animals. Example: lion |
| Omnivores | Organisms that eat plants and animals. Example: bears |
| Scavengers | Organisms that eat dead animals. Example: vultures, hyenas |
| Food Chains | A series of steps of how energy moves from one biotic factor to another. |
| Food Webs | Food webs are diagrams that combines many food chains into one. |
| Symbiosis | A long-term relationship between two different organisms. |
| Parasite | An organisms that live inside or on another organisms. |
