What is an antigen? A protein found on the outside of a cell.
What is an antibody? Y-shaped molecules that attach to antigens.
How is Rh factor determined? Blood cells with the Rh or D protein are Rh positive. Ones without this protein are Rh negative.
Describe a positive presumptive blood test using luminol. An area is sprayed with luminol. If blood is present, the area glows blue under a black light.
What is a presumptive blood test? A test that shows the presence of blood.
Describe a positive presumptive blood test using phenolphthalein. The tested substance turns pink.
Describe a positive presumptive blood test using Hexigon OBTI. Two lines show up on the testing strip.
What are the upper chambers of the heart called? atrium
