TermDefinition
Axis The imaginary line that passes through earth's center from the north pole to the south pole.
Rotation The spinning of earth on its axis.
Revolution One complete trip of the earth around the sun.
Orbit The earth's path across the sun.
Hemisphere One half of a sphere.
Phases of the moon The regular changes in the way the moon looks from earth.
eclipse One object in space casting another shadow in space.
Shadow A dark space made by something blocking out light.
