| Habitat | A place where an organism lives. |
| Trap-Mark-Release | A way of counting populations so that the same organism isn't counted twice. |
| Sample Counts | A estimate of a larger population. |
| Limiting Factors | Anything that restricts a population's size. |
| Carrying Capacity | The largest number of individuals that an ecosystem can support. |
| Biotic Potential | The highest rate of reproduction in a species under ideal conditions. |

| Producers | Organisms that make their own energy-rich molecules. |
