TermDefinition
ecosystem All of the living and non-living things interacting.
habitat Where an organism lives that provides it with food, water, etc.
biotic factor The living parts of an ecosystem.
abiotic factor The non-living parts of an ecosystem.
photosynthesis The process by which green plants feed.
species A group of organisms that are similar and reproduce to produce fertile offspring.
population All the members of one species in a particular area.
community All the different populations that live together in an area.
ecology The study of how living things interact with each other and their environment.
