| ice wedging | a crack in the ground made from ice |
| erosion | the process of eroding away or the process of the rocks being eroded away by natural elements |
| lava | magma that has erupted from a volcano |
| igneous rock | the cooling of lava |
| cementation | the binding together of particles or other elements |
| compaction | the act of pressing of sediments together |
| rock cycle | a cycle which rocks are created and destroyed |
| hydrolysis | chemical decomposition |
| metamorphic rocks | rocks that are inside of a volcano and are melting |
