yellow marrow stores fat as an energy reserve
ligament connective tissue in between two bones in moveable joints
tendon connective tissue that attaches muscles to bones
cartilage connective tissue located at the end of some bones and prevents some bones from rubbing into one another
involuntary muscles muscles that are not under your conscious control; ex- stomach churning food
voluntary muscles muscles that are under your conscious control; ex- walking (skeletal muscles)
skeletal muscle attached to your bones, provides the force to move bones
smooth muscle inside many internal organs, helps move substances inside the body; ex- blood vessels
cardiac muscle found only in the heart
muscle cramp when one muscle contracts and stays contracted
