Why does the moon appear to change shape and what causes the phases of the moon? It revolves around the earth, the moon's actual shadow causes the phases of the moon

Where is the Asteroid Belt located and what does it separate? Between Mars and Jupiter, separates the inner and outer planets
What are the three types of galaxies? Irregular Elliptical Spiral
What are the two types of tides? Spring-when the sun, moon, and Earth are aligned Neap- when the sun, moon, and Earth are at a 90 degree angle
What is a light year? The distance light travels in a year
What are quasars? Star-like-objects, brighter than stars
What are pulsars? Stars that pulsate, when this happens the star appears to be dimming and becoming brighter as it pulsates
What is an electromagnetic spectrum? The arrangement of electromagnetic waves Ex- radio waves, x-rays, and microwaves
What are two types of telescopes that use visible light? Refracting- lenses Reflecting- lenses and mirrors both to view distant objects
