What can cause changes to an ecosystem? drought, overpopulation, pollution
drought a long period of no precipitation.
overpopulation when a ecosystem has too many of at least one kind of living thing.
pollution when harmful substances are added to the earth's water, air, or land.
acid rain when acids from burning gasoline, coal, and other fuels pollute the air when it mixes with rain
carnaivore eats animal
herbivore eats only plants
omnivore eats both plants and animals
camouflage blending of colors
adaptation traits that help an animal to survive
mimicry when one organism imitates another
inherited behavior a behavior that is inborn
Example of inherited behavior a reflex such as scratching an itch
learned behavior behavior that is learned through experiences
hereditary passing of traits from parent to child
smog waste gases and smoke from cars, homes and factories.
What can happen if an ares is overpopulated? The plants and animals can not find what they need to survive.
