What are the 3 states of matter? Solid, liquid and gas
What state of matter is water in when it is ice? solid
What state of matter is water? liquid
What state of matter is water in when it is water vapor? gas
Why an ice cube melts? because heat changes it to a liquid
What would happen if you left a cup of water next to a window for a week? It would heat up and evaporates to water vapors which is a gas
What happened to your land in your stream table after one of our experiments? After we made our streams, we had a lot of deposition and erosion. Erosion picks up soil and deposition is where that erosion goes.
Which soil component has bigger pore surface? gravel
Which soil component holds the water in its pore spaces more? sand
Water erodes the land when it is moving ______ fast
Water deposits the land when it is moving ____ slow
Why would the soil erode more if the land had more of a slope to it? because it would go faster and have more force
Which soil component sinks to the bottom of the water first and why? Gravel because it is the heaviest.
Which soil component floats on top of the water and why? Humus because it is the lightest.
