trachea a tube that carries air to two shorter tubes leading to the lungs
epiglottis the flap that covers the windpipe (trachea) during swallowing
bronchi two short tubes that carry air from the trachea to the lungs
alveoli the tiny air sacs in the lungs
larynx another name for the voice box and is located at the bottom of the pharynx
diaphragm a dome-shaped muscle found under the ribcage which helps with inhaling and exhaling
pharynx the area behind the nose that leads to the throat
