2.Condensation is the change in sate from a gas to a liguid but evaporation is change in state from a liquid to a gas.
3. humidity, saturation, and condensation are all related because
4. The four types of precipitation are different because all of them are either in solid form or liquid form.
5. An air mass in a large body of air where temperature and moisure content are similar throughout. they are charicterized by their moisture content and temperature.
6. The four air mases are maritime, continental, polar, and tropical. Maritime (m)- forms over water;wet. Continental (c)- forms over land; dry. Polar (p)- forms over polar regions; cold. Tropical (t)- develops over the tropics; warm.
7. warm air- low density cool air- high density. It is important because it describes the temperature of the air.
8. warm- upward cold- downward occluded- up and down stationary- upward
9. cold front- thunderstorms, heavy rain, or snow. warm front- drizzly rain. occluded front- cool temperatures and large amounts of rain and snow. stationary front- many days of cloudy, wet weather.
11. cyclones- low pressure, high winds, cold, spin to the center, and cold weather. Anti- cyclones- high pressure, low winds, warm temp., spin outward, and hot weather.
12.tornadoes are small columns of air that touch the ground. A hurricanes is a rotating tropical weather system that does not touch the ground.
13. hurricanes- supply kit, cover windows with plywood and stay indoors. tornadoes- find shelter in a ditch or crouch down if in the open. lightning- stay away from metal, trees, and water. If in the open, crouch down. Floods- listen to the radio.
14. measures temperature, air pressure, and relative humidity.
15. both measure air pressure
16. both measure air temperature.
17. radar, isobars, and doppler radars.
18. the direction of the symbol.
19. center of the U.S.A; flat land and warm and cold air from the equator and the poles meet and creates tornadoes.
20. hot and humid. A lot of precipitation. Because it is in a tropical area that experiences warm fronts all the time. since warm fronts bring rain and warm fronts are always happening in the tropical forest, it is usually always raining.
