Force & Motion

QuestionAnswer
Force: A force is a push or pull on an object.
Measured: Forces are measured in units called Newtons(N).
What does it do? It can cause the object to start moving or stop moving or change direction.
Net Force: A net force id the overall (or combined) forces acting on an object.
When do i subtract? When forces act in Different directions.
When do i add? When forces act in the Same direction.
Balanced Force: Are egual forces acting on one object in opposite directions will Not change an objects motion.
Unbalanced Force: Occurs when the net force changes an object's motion.
Friction: Is the force one substance exerts on another substance when two rub against each other.
Formula for distance: D=SxT.
Formula for time: T=D/S
Formula for speed: S=D/T
