| Describe a Cinder-Cone volcano. | most common type of volcano. It is shaped like an upside-down ice cream cone. An example of a cinder-cone volcano is Sunset Crater in Flagstaff, Arizona. |
| Describe a Composite Volcano. | tall cone-shaped that are steeply-sided and symmetrical. They are know to be very big because as it erupts, the lava, ash, and cinders add to its slopes. |
| Describe a Shield Volcano. | A shield volcano has broad, gentle slope. They are shaped almost like a shield lying flat. |
