TermDefinition
antonym a word opposite in meaning to another.
sequence a related or continuous series;a following of one thing after another.
events thing that happen or occur.
synonym a word having the same meaning as another.
simple machine an elementary (simple) tool having only one or two parts such as a lever, wedge, and/or screw.
persuasive having the power to prove something is credible (worthy of belief).
charcteristic a feature that helps to identify, tell apart, or describe recognizably.
comparison noting similarities and differences after examining something.
metaphor an indirect comparison used to suggest similarities (does not use "like or as").
probability the chance that something will occur (usually expressed as a ratio (1:4), a percentage (25%) or a fraction (1/4)
