Earthquake!

TermDefinition
Earthquake Ground movements that occur when blocks of rock in Earth move suddenly or release energy.
Focus A place within the Earth along a fault at which the first motion of an earthquake occurs
Epicenter Right above the focus of the earthquake on Earth's surface
Tectonic Plate Boundary Where two or more tectonic plates meet
Fault A break in Earth's crust along which blocks of rock move
Elastic rebound The return of a rock to its original shape after an earthquake
Deformation The process by which rock becomes deformed and changes shape due to stress
