earthquakes

what is a earthquake? are ground movments that occur when blocks of rock in earth move suddenley and release energy
what is a focus? is a place within earth along a fault at which the first motion of an earth quake occurs
what is a epicenter? directly above earth surfaces is the epicenter
what is a tectonic plate boundary? is where 2 or more tectonic plates meet
what is a fault? a fualt is a break 'in the earths crust along which blocks of rock move
what is deformation? is the process by which rock becomes deformed and changes shape due to stress
what is a elastic rebound? the return of rock to its original shpae after elastic deformation
