| Conductivity | The ability to carry energy. |
| Density | A measure of the mass per unit volume of a substance. |
| Deposition | The change of state from a gas to a solid. |
| Evaporation | Gradual vaporization that takes place at the surface of a liquid. |
| Matter | Anything that has mass and takes up space. |
| Melting | The change of state from a solid to a liquid as energy is added. |
| Melting point | Temperature at which a substance changes from a solid to liquid. |
| Molecule | Two or more Adams joined by chemical bonds. |
| Physical property | The characteristic of matter that does not involve the changing of matter into something new. |
| Solubility | Measure of how much of one substance can dissolve into another. |
