Land forms

TermDefinition
Trenches Valleys with steep sides.
Ocean basin On the sides of a mid ocean ridge. Has low hills and flat plains.
Rift zone The center of the highest part of a mid ocean ridge.
Mid ocean ridge Under water mountain range.
continental shelf The edges of a content that is under water.
Continental slope The steep drop off of a continental shelf.
Sea mount A under water volcano.
Abyssal plain Under water plain.
Canyon Valley with steep sides.
