TermDefinition
effect A result; a change or changed state occurring as a direct result of action by somebody or something else.
inference (infer) A conclusion drawn from evidence or reasoning.
allusion (allude) An indirect reference to somebody or something; a mention, hint, suggestion.
contrast To compare different things or arrange them in a way that highlights their differences or be markedly different when compared with something.
cause What makes something happen; a person or thing that makes something happen or exist or is responsible for something that happens.
compare To examine two or more people or things in order to discover similarities and differences between them.
chronological Presented or arranged in the order in which events occur or occurred; sequential.
