Matter A physical substance that takes up space
Pollutant A substance that pollutes something in the environment
Volume The amount of space an object takes up
Mass The amount of matter a shape contains
Atom The basic unit of a chemical compound
Molecule A group of atoms bonded together, creating building blocks for objects to be created
Compound A thing that is composed of two or more separate elements
Pure Substace A form of matter that has constant chemical composition
Physical Change A change from one state to another without change in chemical compostion
Chemical Change Any process determined by the atomic and molecular composition and structure of the substances involved
Photosynthesis The process in which green plants create food and let off oxygen.
Qualitative Data Measured by the quality of something instead of the quantity.
Quantitative Data Measured by the quantity of something instead of the quality.
