QuestionAnswer
Revolution The movement of one object around another.
Rotation The spinning of Earth on its axis.
Axis The imaginary line that that passes through Earth’s center and the north and south poles is Earth’s axis.
Orbit A path that Earth follows.
Calendar A system of organizing time that defines the beginning, length, and divisions of a year.
Equinox It occurs twice a year when the noon sun is directly over head of the equator. “equal night.”
Solstice Solstice is when the sun is far from the sun is farthest north or south.
