TermDefinition
Matter Mater is anything that has mass and takes up space.
Element Thing that make up other substances.
Atoms The smallest part of an element that acts like an element.
Metals Good conducter of electricity and heat.
Nonmetals do not cunduct heat and electricity very well.
Semimetals Somtimes like metal, but sometimes like a nonmetal.
Atom The smallest part of an element that still acts like an element.
Atomic Theory States that everything is made with elements.
Compound A type of matter made out of two or more elements.
Condinsation When a gas touches a cold surface and became a liquid.
Chemical Change One or more types of matter change into other types of matter with different propertities.
Law of Conservation of Mass In a chemical change, matter can't be destroyed.
