| insulator | A material through which energy cannot flow easily. |
| fuel | A material that is burned to produce useful heat. |
| temperature | A measure of how hot a place or object is. |
| ray | A thin line of light. |
| reflect | To bounce back. |
| lens | A piece of material that bends light rays that pass through it. |
| electric charges | Tiny amounts of electricity present in all matter. |
| electric current | The flow of electric charges. |
| electric circuit | The path along which electric current moves. |
| electromagnet | A metal that becomes a magnet when electricity passes through wire wrapped around it. |
