What is the study of insects called? entomology
How many eggs do insects usually lay at once? hundreds to thousands
What is an exoskeleton? It is an "outside skeleton" or the hard outer covering of the insect's body.
What are compound eyes? eyes that have many lenses
Are there any ways that insects are helpful to people? yes, they pollinate plants, honey bees make honey, they keep the forest floor clean, and many other helpful things
Are insects warm blooded or cold blooded? cold blooded
What are antennae used for mostly? smell and touch
What are the 3 kinds of mouths? chewing (most common), sucking and sponging
What do insects use to breathe? spiracles
