natural hazard a non-human related object, process, or situation that has the possibility of causing loss of life, personal injury, or loss of property.
natural resources the materials and energy sources found in the environment that humans use in their daily lives.
observation the perception of some aspect of the enviroment by one or more human senses.
oceanography the study of all aspects of Earth's oceans.
percent deviation the amount of error expressed as a percentage.

pollutants substances and forms of energy that pollute.
pollution when the concentration of any substance or form of energy reaches a proportion that adversely affects people, their property, or plant or animal life.
precision (*) the degree fo mutual agreement among a series of individual measurements.
prediction a type of inference about the condition and behavior of the environment in the future.
range (*) the diffrence between the highest and lowest value.
rate of change how much a field is altered over a given time.
time our senses of things happening one after another or as the duration of an event.
universe all matter, time, energy, and space.
volume the amount of space that an object occupies.
weight the pull of Earth's grvitation on an object.
