what is weathering? The process by which water,wind, and ice changes in temperature break down rocks into smaller pieces.
what is erosion? The process by which sediment is moved from one place to another.
what is deposition? The process by which sediment is dropped off in a new location.
what is Igneous rock? Igneous rock is a type of rock that forms when magma or lava cools and hardens.
what is sedimentary rock? Sedimentary rock is rock that forms when minerals that forms from solutions or sediment from older rocks get pressed and cemented together.
what is metamorphic rock? Metamorphic is rock that forms when pressure, temperature, or chemical processes changes existing rock.
what is the rock cycle? The rock cycle is a series of processes in which rock changes from one type to another.
what is a uplift? An uplift is the rising of regions of the crust to higher elevations.
what is subsidence? A subsidence is a sinking of regions of crust to lower elevations.
what is a rift zone? A rift zone is an area where a set of deep cracks form.
