The Rock Cycle

I CAN describe and identify the 3 rocks and describe the steps of the rock cycle

TermDefinition
Weathering the process of which wind, water, and temperature changes break down rocks
Erosion The process of which sediment is moved from one place to an other
Deposition The process of which sediment comes to rest
Igneous Rock A rock that forms from magma that cools and hardens
Sedimentary Rock A rock that forms when when the weight above cause it to combine with an other rock
Metamorphic Rock A rock that pressure, temp.,or chemical processing changes
Rock Cycle The series of processes in which rocks change from one an other
Uplift A rising region of which the crust of the earth is rising
Subsidence Is the sink regions of which the crust of the Earth is sinking
Rift Zone An area with a set of deep cracks form.
