Science Ocean Forms

QuestionAnswer
Inlet Allow water to flow between barrier islands.
Tidal Marsh Swampy areas around the ocean. Plants hold soil in place when ocean water floods the area.
Shoreline Edge of an island or beach; beneath ocean water. Water and land meet.
Tide The daily rising and falling in a regular cycle of earth's waters on its coast.
Current Flow of water in larger body of water.
Wave Cause most of erosion, deposition, and beaches.
Barrier Islands A small island along the coastline formed by the deposition of sand. Barrier islands along the coastlines. Their shape always changes.
