Energy The ability to do work
Vibration The rapid back and forth movement of something
Sound Discrimination The ability to identify sounds and tell them apart
Sound Source Anything that vibrates in a way that makes a sound, like a voice
Sound Receiver Something that detects, responds to, or hears a sound like an ear
Pitch How high or low a sound is
Volume How loud or soft a sound is
Frequency The number of vibrations in a second
Decibel Unit used to measure intensity of sound
Sound Wave A vibration that moves through matter
Stethoscope an instrument used to hear heartbeats
Medium matter through which sound can travel
Vacuum Space that does not contain matter
