Definitions of the Four Types of Sentences and Parts of Speech

| Interrogative | always ask a question and end in a question mark.(say what?) |
| Exclamatory | express strong emotion (EXCLAMATORY!) |
| Declaritive | make a statement to relay information or ideas (well…I….Declare) |
| Noun | names a person place or thing |
| Pronoun | takes the place of a noun |
| Adjective | describes a noun |
| Verb | action, state or being, something that you do |
| Adverb | describes or modifies a verb, adjective, or another verb |
| Preposition | connects nouns, pronouns, and phrases wuth other words in a sentence (squirrel and tree) |
