| constellation | a group of stars forming a recognizable pattern |
| atmosphere | the envelope of gases surrounding the Earth or another planet |
| comet | a celestial object consisting of nucleus of ice and dust |
| lunar ecipse | an eclipse in which appears darkened as it passes into the earths shadow |
| solar eclipse | an eclipse in which the sun is obscured by the moon |
| elliptical | its large and contains millions to trillions of stars |
| galaxy | a system of millions or billions of stars together with gas and dust held together by gravitational attraction |
| solstice | either of the two times in the year the summer and winter solstice when the reaches its highest point in the sky |
| asteroid | a small rocky body orbiting the sun |
| satellite | an artificial body placed around the earth or the moon or another planet in order to collect information or for communication |
