Solar System Unit
| Term | Definition |

| Star | A large hot ball of hot gases. |
| Tilt | Move or cause to move into a sloping position. |
| Orbit | The path of an object that is revolving around a second object or point. |
| Moon | The natural satellite of the earth. |
| Telescope | An instrument is an object that you use to see objects closer in the sky. |
| Universe | the whole world, esp. with reference to humanity. |
| Planet | any of the nine large heavenly bodies revolving about the sun and shining by reflected light |
| Revolve | to turn around or rotate, as on an axis: |
| Rotate | to turn around on or as if on an axis; revolve. |
| Solar Energy | energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy |
| Constellation | any of various named groups of stars |
| Atmosphere | the gaseous envelope surrounding the earth or a heavenly body |
| Comet | an object in space with a bright tail of dust |
| Lunar Eclipse | an eclipse in which the moon appears darkened as it passes into the earth's shadow. |
| Solar Eclipse | an eclipse in which the sun is obscured by the moon. |
| Ellipical | an orbit or round shape that isn't perfectly |
| Galaxy | a system of millions or billions of stars, together with gas and dust, held together by gravitational attraction. |
