| universe | the universe is believed to be at least 10 billion light years in diameter and contains a vaat number of galaxies; it been expanding since its creation in the Big Bang about 13 billion years ago. |
| planet | a celestal body moving in an elliptical orbit around a star. |
| revolve | move in a circle on a central axis, |
| rotate | move or cause to move in a circle around an axis or center. |
| solar energy | radiant energy emitted by the sun. |
| costellation | a group of star froming a recognizable pattern is traditionally named after its apparent from or identified with a mythological figure. |

| comet | a celestial object consisting of a nucleus of ice and,when near the sun,a "tail" of gas and dust particales pointing away from the sun. |
| lunar ecilpse | an eclipse in which the moon appears darkened as it passes into the earth's shadow. |

| galaxy | a aystem of million or billion of stars,with gas and dust, held together by gravitational attaction. |
