universe the universe is believed to be at least 10 billion light years in diameter and contains a vaat number of galaxies; it been expanding since its creation in the Big Bang about 13 billion years ago.
planet a celestal body moving in an elliptical orbit around a star.
revolve move in a circle on a central axis,
rotate move or cause to move in a circle around an axis or center.
solar energy radiant energy emitted by the sun.
costellation a group of star froming a recognizable pattern is traditionally named after its apparent from or identified with a mythological figure.
atmosphere the envelope of gasses sorounding the earth or anouther planet.
comet a celestial object consisting of a nucleus of ice and,when near the sun,a "tail" of gas and dust particales pointing away from the sun.
lunar ecilpse an eclipse in which the moon appears darkened as it passes into the earth's shadow.
solar ecilpse an eclipse in whch the sun is obscured by the moon.
ellptical the moon follows an elliptical path aeound the earth.
galaxy a aystem of million or billion of stars,with gas and dust, held together by gravitational attaction.
solstice either of two times in the year,the summer solstice and the winter solstice,when the sun reaches its highest or lowest point in the sky at noon,marked by the longest and shortest days
asteroid a small rocky body orbiting the sun.
satellite a celestial body orbiting the earth or another planet.
