| Parallel Lines | Being an equal distance apart everywhere. Two lines on a plane that never meet. |
| Perpendicular Lines | Lines that are at right angles (90 degrees)to each other. Intersecting at or forming right angles. |
| Horizontal Lines | A horizontal line is one which runs from left to right across the page. It comes from the word "horizon", in the sense that horizontal lines are parallel to the horizon. |
| Vertical Lines | A vertical line is defined as a line that usually goes straight up and down, parallel to the Y-axis of the coordinate plane. it has no slope and all the points. |
