Glover v BLN Reasonableness. Director of company was dismissed, without notice, for serious misconduct. Not given opportunity to defend himself or given reasons. Fairness in procedures is an implied term.
Bunyan v United Dominions Trust (Ire) Ltd Reasonableness. Bunyan attempted to undermine the MD’s authority but the dismissal was unfair as no fair procedures were followed.
Byrne v RHM Foods Secretary to a marketing manager, manager was suspended. Secretary was then isolated, phone disconnected, filing cabinet removed, given no work. Trust was broken. CONSTRUCTIVE DISMISSAL.
