December Solstice Northern Hem. is mostly darkened,(Arctic Circle is frigid, causing winter) yet the Southern Hem. is mostly enlightened.(summer)
Summer Solstice The sun is very high in the sky.(Heat rays are stronger & direct.)
Winter Solstice The sun is very low in the sky, (slanted rays)the temperature decreases.
