What is the cell cycle? Event of a cells life the periodic length of growth.
What is Prophase? Chromosomes start to appear,nucleus brakes down.
What do the organelles do? Form specific functions.
What does Flagella have? They have whip like hair with a cell membrane.
What is a Heteratroph? It is an organism with two or more eukaryotes.
What is a neutron? an elementary particle having no charge, mass slightly greater than that of a proton, and spin of ½: a constituent of the nuclei of all atoms except those of hydrogen.
What is a controlled variable? Variable that stays unchanged or constant.
What is a proton? a positively charged elementary particle that is a fundamental constituent of all atomic nuclei.
What is a dependent variable? A dependent variable is the observed result of manipulating the independent variable in an expirement, study.
What is a an atom? the smallest component of an element having the chemical properties of the element, consisting of a nucleus containing combinations of neutrons and protons.
What is a controlled group? An experiment or trial that uses controls, usually separating the subjects into one or more control groups and experimental groups.
What does the atomic number represent? Positive charges or protons in the nucleus of an atom of a given element, and therefore also the number of electrons normally surrounding the nucleus.
What is a compound? A compound that is combined with other chemical bonds.
What is an ion? Positive charge that functions as another atom.
What is metabolism? The changes and the amount of energy one needs.
What is DNA? Genetic makeup of an organism.
What is a cell? The basic information and smallest thing in an organism
What does homeostasis mean? To maintain internal stability.
What are the two ways of reproduction? Sexual and Asexual reproduction.
Where are electrons found? Outside of the nucleus in an a atom.
What is an autotroph? Any organism capable of self-nourishment by using inorganic materials as a source of nutrients and using photosynthesis.
what are the five characteristics of all living things? Taste,touch,smell,sight, and hear.
What is Adhesion? It is when water sticks to itself.
What is Cohesion? it is when water sticks another object.
